Louis J. Haberman, CPO-LPO
is the founder and President of Garden State Orthopaedic, Chief Clinician at the Oakland Facility, and lead orthotist in the Morristown facility. He created the practice in 1976 in Oakland, after receiving his degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from NYU. Eight years later, he established the Morristown facility. He is known nationally as an innovator and lecturer. He is the most published author in the tri-state area, and won an "Article of the Year Award" from the Journal of Prosthetics & Orthotics. He was the national winner of the "Creativity Award in Orthotics and Prosthetics" presented by the American Academy of Prosthetics and Orthotics in 1995. He is the holder of three United States Patents. Lou has served as a consultant to Medicare and various major insurance carriers. He was appointed by two governors to serve on the NJ Orthotics and Prosthetics Board of Examiners, and was its Chairman for 10 years. He is the founder, technical consultant and General Manager of "Engineered Silicone Products" (ESP) which manufactures his inventions, which include silicone products and mechanical devices for amputees. Lou is a highly experienced clinical practitioner, with over 40 years of experience and is an expert in both lower and upper limb prosthetics and orthotics.
